Communication and Project Officer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communication and Project Officer to lead and manage our communication strategies and project operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in communication, journalism, project management, political science, law, or any relevant field. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in managing communication initiatives and overseeing project management activities. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive communication and advocacy strategies to enhance the organization’s visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. Coordinate and oversee all communication and advocacy activities, including media relations, social media management, content creation, and public relations efforts. Provide strategic advice and support to senior management on communication matters and project management best practices. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and media organizations. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and advocacy strategies and project outcomes, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to communication and project management activities. Prepare and manage the communication budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Job Requirement Educational Background : A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communication, Journalism, Project Management, International relations, Law, or any other relevant field of study. Experience : Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in advocacy communication, project management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale advocacy communication campaigns and overseeing complex projects. Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience working in a multicultural environment and with diverse stakeholders is highly desirable. Resource Mobilization Experience : Candidates with proven experience in resource mobilization will be considered highly advantageous.
