Structural Engineer (Practical Experience, DesignAbility with Site Supervision)Role OverviewFair Construction is seeking a highly competent Structural Engineer with strong designcapability and practical site experience to join our growing technical team. The successfulcandidate will lead the structural design lifecycle while actively supervising construction works toensure full compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and build quality.This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who is equally comfortable performing structuralcalculations and operating on active construction sites.Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design• Develop structural systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.• Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations.• Design reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel structures.• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and bar bending schedules.Site Supervision & Technical Oversight• Conduct regular site visits to monitor structural works.• Ensure construction aligns fully with approved structural drawings.• Inspect critical stages such as foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and roof structures.• Provide immediate technical guidance when site challenges arise.• Approve structural works before progression to subsequent stages.Engineering Analysis• Calculate structural loads including dead, live, wind, and seismic forces.• Design foundations based on geotechnical reports.• Ensure compliance with recognized international standards (Eurocodes, BS, ACI whereapplicable).Technical Coordination• Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and quantity surveyors.• Review architectural drawings to ensure structural feasibility.• Provide practical, cost-efficient engineering solutions.Quality & Risk Control• Identify structural risks early and propose mitigation strategies.• Support value engineering initiatives without compromising safety.• Maintain thorough calculation records and documentation.
