Job Description:USAID/OTI Ethiopia Support Program (ESP) is designed to advance the conditions necessary for peace processes to take root and succeed in local communities and identify ways to support communities with social cohesion, early recovery, and stabilization.??General Summary??Geographics/Visual Artist will work closely with the Communication Advisor to help develop program and activity-level visualizations and infographics to communicate ESP?s results and impacts.? ????2. Specific Duties and Responsibilities??Under the supervision of the Communication Advisor, the Graphics/visual artist will be responsible for the following:??Conceptualize and Create Visual Designs:?Develop and present creative ideas based on the design briefs.?Design visual content for print and digital applications.?Use various graphics software to execute designs.??Collaborate with Teams:?Work closely with Comms and Media Advisor, MEL and KM Specialist to align designs with comms product requests??Manage Projects:?Ensure consistency in designs across various media outlets.?Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques.?Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.??Quality Control:?Review final productions and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications.?Personal Attributes:?Excellent communication skills.?Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.?A strong ability to translate requirements and documents into design.3. Qualifications and Experience:?Bachelor?s degree/certification in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, motion graphics, or related field.At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, motion graphics, or related field.Proven graphic designing experience.?A strong portfolio of illustrations, motion graphics, infographics or other graphics.?Fluency in written and spoken English.?? ?Technical Skills:???Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc).???A keen eye for aesthetics and details.4. Contract Type, Location and Conditions: The Graphics/visual artist is a Short-Term Technical Assistance (STTA) position based in Addis Ababa. The initial assignment period will be three (3) months subject and will be deliverables-based.
